Choir Sings -(opening hymn) "Resurrection Alleluias"

Hymn- (replaces Gloria) At the Lamb's High Feast We Sing, #141

Prayer of the Day: Almighty God, by the glorious resurrection of your Son, Jesus Christ, you conquered death and opened the gate to eternal life. Grant that we, who have been raised with him through Baptism, may walk in newness of life and ever rejoice in the hope of sharing his glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit be dominion and praise now and forever. Amen (sung)

First Lesson- Isaiah 25:6-9

The Lord has prepared the banquet of salvation. Nothing is missing, and God has taken away everything that would ruin the joy of his people.

Psalm of the Day- Psalm 118, page 57 in front of the blue supplement

Second Lesson- 1 Corinthians 15:19-26

Our hope in Christ is not just for this life. Christ has been raised from the dead and has destroyed death. He lives, and so will we!

Gospel Lesson- Mark 16:1-8

The women go to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body. The sight of an empty tomb and a holy messenger is a shock at first! But the angel has a wonderful message, “He is risen! He is not here.” Instead of death claiming another victim, death had been swallowed up by victory!
