Our Mission...... As men, women, and children united in faith in Christ Jesus, we believe he commanded us to “go and make disciples.” We therefore will proclaim the Gospel of Christ through our words and actions to the community, campus, and others. We will teach God’s word in its truth and purity to help each other grow and mature in faith preparing us, God’s people, for “works of service.”

November 1, 2015, Reformation, Pastor Clayton Welch. It should not surprise us that error runs rampant through the world and that both nature and nations are so often in chaos. For that is exactly what our Savior has foretold. Each error, each natural disaster, each country in turmoil should drive us to cling all the more tenaciously to his Word by which alone we are saved in the hour of judgment. For without his pure Word, there is only faithless error, fear and torment, and finally a total separation from grace in the day of judgment. To retain the Word in all of its truth and purity and then to share it, those are the goals of true children of the Reformation.
Pastor Clayton Welch Speaks on the Word of God from Hebrews 4:9-16 - God Gives Us a Break
The final rest is certain because Christ's work is certain and because God's Word is certain. How terrible it would be, given that certainty, if we would fall back again under the wrath of God through unbelief and the other willful sins that flow from it. Since the rest is certain, let us hold fast to the work of Christ by which it was won, and to the faithful confession of the Word, by which it is made our own. For with the sure work of Christ and with his certain Word, we always have access to God's grace in our weakness and his help for our service.
Jesus’ farewell discourse continues from the previous week. The Holy Spirit is promised to the disciples, and they are comforted by the Lord’s promise: that he will not leave them orphaned but will return to them. Jesus exhorts them to show love for their Lord by giving loving obedience to his commands.
"Jesus Is Worth Listening To" - Matthew 17:1-9. Sermon by Pastor Clayton Welch on Transfiguration Sunday, February 26, 2017. As Jesus prepares to go to Jerusalem to offer up his life for the world, he is transfigured in glory before Peter, James and John on the mountaintop. Moses and Elijah flank the Lord and attest to his glory while the Father speaks words of loving approval of his Son.
Look at the Coming Christ and Don't Just Say You're Sorry
As he was in his humiliation, so are we in his kingdom on earth. Here there is lowliness like his before a petty and very temporary governor. Here there is little outward display of his power, little to see of his kingdom’s beauty. What then is there? There is the bearing witness to the truth! That’s what he did. That’s what we are called to do in following after him. That truth is all of his Word. Anything apart from it or contrary to it is a lie, is of the devil, is an attempt to snatch glory that is worldly and perishing. Only the truth of his Word brings us into his kingdom and keeps us there. Only bearing witness to that truth serves him, who bore witness to it for us and for our salvation.
Welcome to all worshipers of Jesus! John, the forerunner of Christ, fixes our attention on the need for true preparation for the Lord's coming. Such preparation consists in repentance and reconciliation with God and all people through the Lord Jesus Christ.
