The Lord's Supper
Next Sunday, we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Please prepare in advance, through self-examination and confession, to receive this Sacrament. A helpful guide in this process is Luther's Table of Duties, from his Small Catechism. Applying it to oneself, probing one's many failings, reveals a deep need for the forgiveness conveyed through this means.
If you plan to visit us next Sunday, please understand that our congregation practices Close Communion -- a Biblical practice going all the way back to Apostolic times. We request that you arrive early and plan to speak with our Pastor before communing with us. Thank You.
